The Exchange Rate of a Util does not intend to satisfy readership demand that would otherwise remain unsatisfied given the litany of existing blogs of its type; rather it is my own, hopefully unique, indulgent exploration of theoretical political, social, and economic ideas. I apply an analytical, albeit evanescent, Humean utilitarian framework to an array of self-proclaimed topics of relevancy.
My education and work experience includes the following: I have a B.A. in economics from the University of Chicago and I am currently a Teach-for-America corps member. I have worked as a research assistant for political scientists like Robert Pape; I have worked as a policy analyst for Housing Action Illinois, an Illinois-based housing group; I have worked as a policy researcher for the Hudson Institute, a Washington-based think tank; and I continue to work in various voluntary roles for the Democratic Party.
